Stupid Things People Do for Sneakers: thieves execute smash and grab on Miami-Dade sneaker shop

Police in Miami are seeking a trio of individuals who were seen on surveillance video breaking into a local sneaker store.

The footage shows a dark colored SUV parking in front of Kicks Circuit at around 4 A.M. on June 26. Threei persons are seen exiting the vehicle, two removing oak multiple bins, while a third breaches the entrance with multiple kicks to the high-impact glass at the front door.

Upon accessing the store, the thieves wasted little time, quickly filling up the bins they brought with them.

Kicks Circuit owner, Sebastian Quintana said it was painful to watch his store being robbed. “I feel disrespected. We feel disrespected,” said Quintana. “We’re still going little by little, trying to see what exactly they took. We don’t know an exact amount yet, but it’s past, like, around $15,000 to 20,000.”

Quintana thinks his business was being watched. Speaking to WPLG, he said,” They’re paying attention to what we have, when we are moving the items,” and adding, “Theyve probably been here before.”

The modus operandi of these robbers is eerily similar to what occurred at Stepped on Kicks in May, in which three thieves smashed the front entrance of the establishment. Once inside the crooks quickly grabbed as much merchandise as they could, making off with approximately $20,000 in product.
